Overview

In order to create a 'local era where people can live well anywhere in Korea', the Folk Museum will be relocated to the National Museum Complex in Sejong City to play a leading role in the national balanced development policy as a representative national museum of regional culture in the south-central region.

Evolving into a museum where the elegance of folklore can be connected to modern daily life and future technologies, it aims as a major facility in the National Museum Complex to have a space and facility scale that fit the trend of the times and become a place of exchange with other folklore museums around the world, along with balanced regional distribution of cultural assets.
